Please find the attached Permit Inactive Status Request letter for the Wastewater Irrigation System
Permit No. WC10004270 at the AB Carter facility in Gastonia, NC. As described in the letter, the
system has been decommissioned, and we are requesting that the permit be placed in an inactive
status while we continue to monitor the natural attenuation of nitrate in groundwater at monitoring
well MW-19. The request includes a waiver of the ORC visitation requirements and the sampling and
reporting requirements (aside from the continued monitoring of MW-19). Please do not hesitate to
