In response: • I have attached project drawings that should be easier to read than what was provided. • Also attached is my Reference Reach data and proposed values. • Rocks will be from a quarry looking something like 3' long x 2' wide x 1' thick, large enough to stay in place, and logs will be hardwoods from a nearby timber harvest unit, no larger than 16 inch diameter at breast height (dbh) and long enough to meet the design criteria for the channel. • The work will occur in the dry using a standard pump- around. I am pulling together a Typical if needed. • Success monitoring will include photos taken from photo points following large rainfall events during the first year, then annually for three years, then periodic visits to the site in following years. • The attached NCWRC letter states that a trout spawning moratorium is not required for this project. Similar request as Tucker. Please provide the following information: 1 • Project drawings — hard copy and electronic, if available (the ones in the application are too small to be usable) • Reference reach data • Rock and log sizing for vanes Will you be conducting in- stream work in the wet? What success monitoring is planned? We will normally require quarterly visual monitoring for one year or two bankfull events (whichever is longer). Please discuss any WRC moratorium limitations.
