On 5-11-2022 during grounds maintenance activities at the UNC Bingham Facility,the staff gauge for the Secondary Effluent Storage Basin was broken.
The operators made a temporary fix;however,the temporary fix will only allow a freeboard reading to about 6_7.The operators will make every effort to continue to pump out the basin to maintain freeboard
greater than 6.7.
Please note that the Secondary Effluent Storage Basin has never been used to store treated wastewater. All liquids in the basin are rainwater.
We do not believe this is a compliance issue,but informed Scott Vinson and Vanessa Manuel by email on 5-12-2022.
