Subject: Replacement of Low Impact Bridge # 23 over Chinkapin Swamp on SR 1328 (Buncombe Road)
in Bertie County. DWR project number 20140322
This letter is in response to the hold letter NCDOT received from the NC Division of Water
Resources dated May 9, 2014 in regards to the Low Impact Bridge Replacement project for Bridge #23 in
Bertie County. The letter informed NCDOT of the presence of a jurisdictional stream in the project area
that was not shown on the permit drawings. NCDOT is currently revising the permit drawings and will
include the jurisdictional stream as well as the associated stream impacts resulting from the project. This
will be sent to you when completed.
