However, your application is incomplete and cannot be processed until the following information is received: 1. Please include a description describing how each permanent fill /culvert will be constructed under dry conditions. Typically, in order to avoid and minimize impacts associated with the project, temporary fills are utilized so that the permanent fills /culverts are constructed under dry conditions. If temporary impacts will be necessary, please quantify these and include them on the proposed plans. Please provide the proposed pipe length at each impact site and the proposed dissipation pad length at each impact site. 3. In order to determine compliance with Nationwide Permit Condition #2 (Aquatic Life Movement) you must provide additional information regarding the proposed dissipation pads. Specifically, you must indicate if the top of the stone rip rap apron will be placed /constructed so that it is level with the receiving channel. If so, please provide a profile view of each impact area indicating that the top of the stone is at the existing bed elevation. If not, you will need to indicate how you plan to prevent the disruption of aquatic life movement. You should also provide a written description of the placement of the rip rap dissipation pads. 4. The rip rap dissipation pad at impact area #1 appears to be aligned at such a sharp angle with the receiving stream, that additional erosion of the downstream segment may occur. Please indicate how you plan to prevent additional, downstream erosion at this location, or re- design the crossing to lessen the erosion potential. If you redesign the crossing, please provide updated impacts associated with the redesign. Please submit the above information within 30 days of receipt of this notification or we will consider your application withdrawn and close the file. Please call or email me consider your application withdrawn and close the file. Please call or email ( Andrew .E.Williams2 @usace.army.mil) if you have any questions.
