BIER ALL EROSION CONTROL MEASURES ARE TO BE PERFORMED IN STRICT ACCORDANCE WITH REQUIREMENTS OF N.C. D.E.N.R. THE FOLLOWING CONSTRUCTION SEQUENCE SHALL BE
COMPUTED WITH FOR ALL WORK.
1. OBTAIN LAND -DISTRIBUTING PERMITS.
2 INSTALL ALL EROSION CONTROL MEASURES AS PER PLANS APPROVED BY N.C. D.E.N.R. AND/OR AS DIRECTED BY D.E.N.R. INSPECTORS.
SPECIAL CONSIDERATION, AS TO SEQUENCING, SHALL BE APPLIED TO ROADWAY (LINEAR) CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS:
A) INSTALL ALL DOWN -SLOPE MEASURES SUCH AS SEDIMENT BASINS, DIVERSION DITCHES, SILT FENGNG, ETC. AHEAD OF ROADWAY GRADING ACTIVITIES.
B) IMMEDIATELY UPON SUBSTANTIAL COMPLETION OF ANY SEGMENT OF CUT -BANK GRADING, CONSTRUCT REQUIRED DIVERSION DIKEIDITCH ALONG TOP OF CUT SLOPES.
C) IMMEDIATELY INSTALL DRAINAGE PIPING AND OR OTHER REQUIRED ROUTING FEATURES THROUGH THE DISTURBED AREAS TO DISCHARGE AS INDICATED ON THE DRAWINGS.

CONSTRUCTION SEQUENCE:
-Obtain all plan approvals and authorizations to construct, including any required construction permits from jurisdictional
agencies.
-Clear and grub only enough area to install temporary erosion control measures.
-Install gravel construction entrance pads (Mud Mats).
-Install silt fencing and silt fence outlets around entire perimeter of project's disturbed areas.
-Construct skimmer sediment basin. Maintain as required until all construction is complete and all disturbed areas are
revegetated and stabilized.
-Construct Temporary Diversion Berm/Ditches as indicated on the drawings.
-Rough grading may commence as needed, only for the areas of immediate construction activities.
-Construct permanent stormwater detention/treatment system.
-Commence Installation of underground utilities, beginning with the stormwater collection system feeding the newly constructed
Skimmer Sediment Basin and the outlet protection energy dissipaters within the new Skimmer Sediment Basin. Proceed with
Installation of the drainage collection systems, moving up -stream to each successive inlet, installing inlet protection for all
constructed inlets.
-Construct parking area's base and curbing, with initial lift of asphalt binder courses.
-Apply soil amendments, sow grass seed and mulch al areas not to be surfaced during building construction.
-Receive permission from NC DENR inspector to incrementally remove internal diversion ditches once revegetation as been

B. CONTRACTOR WILL INSPECT SEDIMENT FENCES AND SILT FENCE OUTLET STRUCTURES AT LEAST ONCE A WEEK AND AFTER EACH RAINFALL EVENT. IF THE FABRIC OF A SEDIMENT
FENCE COLLAPSES, TEAR, DECOMPOSES OR BECOMES INEFFECTIVE, REPLACE IMMEDIATELY. REPLACE FABRIC EVERY 90 DAYS. REMOVE SEDIMENT DEPOSITS AS NEEDED TO PROVIDE
ADEQUATE STORAGE VOLUME FOR THE NEXT RAIN EVENT AND TO REDUCE PRESSURE ON THE FENCING MATERIAL
7. SHOULD SEDIMENT REMOVAL BE REWIRED IN THE SEDIMENT BASINS, CONTRACTOR WILL INSPECT OUTLET STABILIZATION STRUCTURES AFTER HEAVY RAINS TO SEE IF ANY EROSION

CONNECTING JOINTS SHOULD OVERLAP AT LEAST ONE FOOT. IF THE DAMAGE TO THE FABRIC IS EXTENSIVE, REPLACE ENTIRE FILTER CLOTH.
8. ALL DISTURBED AREAS NOT TO BE SURFACED WILL BE RESEEDED, REFERTILIZED AND MULCHED AS NECESSARY BY THE CONTRACTOR TO MAINTAIN A DENSE VEGETATIVE COVER.
