Liliana,
Thanks, I've confirmed that information with Jeff. Given that there is no flow through the system at this time (which is not uncommon in systems with low usage), please simply continue to
monitor the system. If the system does begin to flow, please collect a representative sample of the effluent, have it analyzed by a certified commercial laboratory and submit the results to
this office.

Hi Alys,
Jeff from Agri -waste technology was at the property and he said there is no discharge and no evidence of discharge. He said you can contact him with any questions.

Good afternoon Liliana,
Sure, no worries, we can grant that extension. What is the name of the company you found?

Good afternoon,
I would like to get an extension about the test we need to get done in our septic. I finally found a company who take samples. I don't have an appointment yet,
but they will call me back soon.
Best,
Liliana

Yes, if they have an NCG550000 permit then they are supposed to be doing testing every year. If we have discovered they are not doing the required sampling,
then it should have been noted in their most recent inspection report(s), or will be noted in future reports.
Thanks for your cooperation, and have a good rest of the week!

Will do it! III try to ding someone who takes the sample, if I don't find someone I'll let you know. So all the neighbors have to do that every year? III
ask if they have done it before.

Liliana,
The test is a permit requirement. Everyone who has a permitted septic system is required to sample the effluent once per year for the permit
parameters. Not sampling is a violation of the permit. I certainly understand that it will take time to find someone to do the sampling for you, but the
previous Notice of Violation that was sent to you on March 9th did request that you get the sampling done within 90 days. If that deadline is not
possible for you, please let us know why that is not possible so we can make a note and potentially grant an extension.
Please do hire someone to come out and check the septic tank, and make sure the tablets are in the boxes as soon as possible. I had hoped they would
already be in there! Please make sure either you or the resident knows to keep the chlorine and de -chlorination tablets in their respective boxes. They
will typically need to be refilled about once a month, but checking them once a week to make sure the tablets are still there is good practice.

Hi,
Please help me to understand why you need that test done? Can I hire someone to empty the septic then add the tablet for now?

Liliana,
I actually can't recommend any specific septic companies or labs, because state employees can't endorse any one company over another.
But hopefully the list of certified labs I've already sent should be able to get you started.

Great! All the labs I talked to said they need the sample from the company who comes to get the sample, but any
septic company does it.

Liliana,
It depends on the lab. Some will come out to do the test for you, but for some you will request a sample bottle
and then drop it off at the lab yourself. I'll ask around and see if we have a list of contractors that will come out to
do your sampling for you.

Hello,
Are all these places coming to do the test, or how does it work?
