Findings are noted with points 5, 7, and 8 requiring further attention. (5)Restaurants in the Town of Broadway when inspected as it relates to our Fats, Oils, and Grease Program will have documentation to note inspection and kept on file. The town also provides information on our utility bills to customers as it relates to grease and fats on a periodic basis, (see attached). (7)Updates on the Town of Broadway's Spill/Overflow Response Action Plan have been completed and are attached for review. (8)Steps have and are being undertaken to ensure proper documentation as it relates to our operation and maintenance of pump stations. Public Works staff will be responsible for ensuring compliance moving forward. Broadway Police Department monitors the town 24 hours a day. Public Works employees rotate on call status and Town Manager can be contacted 24 hours a day. The Town of Broadway has the ability to assess any spill with a short period of time and ensure necessary repairs are implemented and completed. -Emergency Response: Wastewater treatment systems shall verbally report to a Division of Water Resources staff member at appropriate Regional Office, (Town of Broadway reports to Raleigh Regional Office) and in no case more than 24 hours following the occurrence or first knowledge of the occurrence or either of the following: Any sewer system overflow and/or spill over 1, 000 gallons; or Any sewer system overflow and/or spill, regardless of volume, that reaches surface water. Raleigh Regional Office can be contacted during business hours at (919) 791-4200 and after hours, weekends, or holidays, call (800) 858-0368. North Carolina Department of Environmental Quality's Emergency Response procedures are attached as well as a brochure from the Raleigh Regional Office. All employees of the Town of Broadway have been made aware of these and the notification process.
