Hello,
He was not double -invoiced; if there were two permits obtained for the same project, then he was invoiced for each one
separately. We do not have a way to ensure that permittees have not obtained multiple permits for the same project
inadvertently.
Also, I don't understand the reference to Project "2342972"
That file references permit no. NCC202467, and the 2022 fee payment was applied on 6/15. The original application for
that is attached. That permit is current.
The other permit is NCC214193. That is the open invoice at the moment (and more recently issued COC).
We cannot easily apply a payment to another permit invoice that was already paid. It might make more sense to
terminate the newer permit, NCG214193 (if that's the duplicate) that still has the outstanding fee and just keep the
older COC that is current.
Please advise. If you have questions about the NOT process, contact Paul Clark.
Thank you,

David and Bethany, See attached. This confirms what I suspected happened. David was double invoiced for the same
project. Unfortunately, I was not copied on the first NPDES email invoice. Bethany, Can you please help to reallocate
David's earlier payment to NPDES 234972 to the correct project 214193? 1 will get on line and terminate project
234972.

Please go to our Construction COCs repository and investigate the permit records there to determine what the COC was
for exactly. These records are available immediately after the permit is issued, so please keep this link handy to help
answer questions about permits in the future.
If you have trouble finding the permit number folder, please let me know. Remember that any rescinded COCs are
moved to the'NCC RESCINDED COCs' subfolder.

David, Goodmorning. If you remember, when the project was expanded with the addition of the Barrett Tract adding
2.13 Acres of disturbed area our wonderful Buncombe County made us secure a new EC Permit along with a new NPDES
Stormwater Permit for the Project of the same name "Sycamore Cove" with NCDEMLR.
Perhaps we received a renewal 3 weeks ago on the earlier NPDES Stormwater permit renewal for the defunct project
with the same name? How to keep up with this is beyond me. The confusion comes from the fact both DEMLR permits
have the exact same name Sycamore Cove but different numbers and in trying to stay current you have paid for permit
we wanted to expire.
I had thought we had terminated the earlier NPDES permit you erroneously paid to extend.
Good grief. Isn't this fun? Bethany perhaps you can help here? Please let me know. Can you search permits under
Sycamore Cove and correct the error.
Happy Friday.
