REQUEST FOR MORE INFORMATION: STORMWATER MANAGEMENT PLAN
Dear Mr. Donnelly:
On January 22, 2007, the Division of Water Quality (DWQ) issued a 401 Water Quality Certification to
impact to E110,485 acre of wetland and 187 linear feet of an intermittent stream in order to construct the
Gregory Poole commercial subdivision in Alamance County as described in your application received by
the DWQ on November 27, 2006. In order to meet Condition 4 of the 401 Certification for this project, a
stormwater management plan was submitted to the DWQ on July 24, 2007.
The DWQ has determined that your stormwater management plan was incomplete as discussed below.
Additional Information Requested:
Please revise the size of the outlet structure for wetland number two. The four-inch orifice
currently proposed draws the one-inch storm down in less than two days.
2. Please remove Myrica cerifera, commonly known as wax myrtle, from the planting plan. Please
replace this shrub with another species that does not fix nitrogen.
The DWQ will require the above additional information to finalize review of the stormwater management
plan for the subject property. Please provide the following information so that we may continue to review
