Inspection Summary:
On May 20, 2022, DWR_MRO staff performed a Compliance Inspection of the Closed Loop Recycle system under permit#
WQ0010197. The current permit expires April 30, 2023. Please remember to submit the permit renewal application 180
days prior to the permit expiration date.
Staff gauges are present in each pond. The freeboard water levels in both ponds are greater than the minimum two feet
required by the permit.
The Operations and Maintenance(O&M)logs were reviewed for the year of 2019, through until April of 2022. The O&M record:
appear to be complete.
The recycle system is divided into three separate identical units. Each unit has manual re -outs for pressure and the filters
are backwashed on a regular basis. Maintenance staff collect reading from the digital displays every three hours. Alarms
are present on each unit. However, the alarms can only be heard if someone is near one of the units.

Comment: Technicians collect readings manually every three hours and log the information onto a
spreadsheet that is uploaded to a facility computer. SCADA is not present for this system.
The pumps were in operation during the sitie visit. There is a backup pump ready to be
installed should a pump fail.

There appears to be an iron bacterial scum present on the South end of the pond next to the
wet well location. Globs of the same scum were also present in the wet well. This iron scum
appears regularly during the summer months.
