On May 9, 2022, the Division of Energy, Mineral and Land Resources received your request to
rescind your coverage under Certificate of Coverage Number NCG210461.
Based on our review of your request and the recommendation of our Asheville Regional Office, your
request for rescission has been denied. Your request was denied because many items have been
left exposed at the facility. There are large piles of trash and debris which are exposed to exposed to
stormwater, some including used oil filters, oil containers, cement bags, and general waste. A
damaged oil storage tank with holes is sitting outside the building allowing a trail of liquid to course
from it. Once these issues are fixed, please submit a new rescission request so a rescission can be
granted. Your Certificate of Coverage Number NCG210461 will remain in effect, and you must
continue to comply with your NPDES stormwater permit.
