I'm reaching out concerning the reclamation of the Sampson Mine 11. 1 received a letter from the Mining Dept showing that your mine was successfully reclaimed and I wanted to know how you wanted to handle your coverage under Stormwater General Permit NCG020000. Your permit is current and active, your COC number for this facility is NCG020437. You can either keep the permit active (if industrial activity will still occur) or rescind the permit. If the facility is closing and there is no industrial activity that will be exposed to stormwater (equipment, debris, activity), it is recommended that you rescind the permit. I'll link the rescission request form below. Upon this form, a site visit from our Fayetteville Regional office will occur in order to ensure this site has nothing exposed to stormwater. https://deg.nc.gov/energy-mineral-and-land-resources/stormwater/npdes-miscellaneous-forms/npdes-rescission-form- 20210629-deco I r-sw/down load Thank you and please let me know if you have any questions, Brittany Carson General Industrial Stormwater Permit Coordinator Stormwater Program, Division of Energy, Mineral, and Land Resources N.C.
