This inspection was conducted to verify that the facility is operating in compliance with the conditions and limitations specified in NPDES WW Permit No. NCG550013. A summary of the findings and comments noted during the inspection are provided in the enclosed copy of the inspection report. The Compliance Evaluation inspection was conducted by Division of Water Resources staff from the Asheville Regional Office. Ownership change form needs to be completed to reflect current property owner. Remedial actions should have already been taken to correct this problem and prevent further occurrences in the future. The Division of Water Resources may pursue enforcement action for this and any additional violations of State law. Mr. Oliver stated that the septic tank had been pumped very recently and a receipt will be provided. The exact location of the sand filter bed is unknown. Though both areas where the sand filter could be located would indicate the sand filter system is not failing. The effluent pipe was not able to be located due to an overgrowth of brambles at the location. There is no disinfection for this system. Under the rules of the most recent issuance of NCG550000, disinfection is a requirement of all facilities covered under this permit. The coverage under the general permit has expired and has not been renewed due to outstanding permit fees. Please pay these as soon as possilbe to renew permit coverage. NCG550013 17 (Cont.)
