This inspection was conducted to verify that the facility is operating in compliance with the conditions and limitations specified in NPDES WW Permit No. NCG551434. The findings and comments noted during this inspection are provided in the enclosed copy of the inspection report entitled "Compliance Inspection Report". There were no significant issues or findings noted during the inspection and therefore, a response to this inspection report is not required. This inspection was conducted to determine if the system is being operated and maintained in compliance with General NPDES Permit No. NCG550000. Ms. Armeni spoke with Ms. Jeanne Heitmeyer (owner) prior to the inspection. Ms. Heitmeyer indicated that this property is used as a vacation home. The property was well-maintained and all system components were easy to find and accessible. All system components were checked by Christian Plumbing on May 17, 2022. The property was well-maintained and all treatment units were easily accessible.Comment: Septic Tank Yes No NA NE (If pumps are used) Is an audible and visual alarm operational? Is septic tank pumped on a schedule? Are pumps or syphons operating properly? Are high and low water alarms operating properly? All septic system components were checked by Christian Plumbing on May 17, 2022. Septic tank levels were checked and the tank did not need to be pumped. After the effluent pipe there is a cascade aerator that goes down the bank before reaching the river. At the time of the inspection, the system was not discharging, and Ms. Heitmeyer stated that she has not seen it discharge. Per General Permit NCG550000, the effluent pipe should be checked at least twice a year. Comment: Effluent Sampling Yes No NA NE Is composite sampling flow proportional?
