Box 1700 Concord, North Carolina 28026-1700 704-569-6000 January 13, 1998 Mr. Mark McIntire NC Dept. of Environment, Health & Natural Resources Division of Water Quality Archdale Building 512 North Salisbury Street Raleigh, North Carolina 27604 Dear Mr. McIntire: CORNING Per our telephone conversation on Friday, January 9, 1998, a meeting has been scheduled for Wednesday, January 21, 1998 at the Corning, Inc. construction site southern part of Cabarrus County. The meeting will be located in Building A, Conference Room 123 at 10:30 AM. Representatives from Corning, Inc. and the Water and Sewer Authority of Cabarrus County will be attending. Subjects of discussion will include the design of a diffuser for Outfall 003 at the Rocky River and scheduling changes for the start up of the Corning, Inc. Concord Plant. Weather permitting, we will visit the discharge point for Outfall 003 at the Rocky River. Please bring boots and other necessary gear for this site visit. Lunch will be provided at the Corning, Inc. site at 12:00. I have made arrangements for 3 NCDEHNR representatives. Please let me know if this is enough.
