Good 8= Good 7=Fair 6-0:=Immediate Corrective Action Needed Comments: Remarks and Recommendations: The"ICA"status on this project has been lifted at this time.A follow-up review was conducted with Gary Phillips,Andy Hussey with DOT, Barry Harrington with Roadside,Thad Valentine with Land Quality and Randy Garrett with contractor that indicated corrective actions have been taken to bring the project back into compliance. Please note the following comments and recommendations. Contractor has covered all exposed areas that were beyond the 21 day seeding requirement as required by this contract.About half of this area was temp.mulched rather than temp.seeded/mulched. Note that temp.mulch is a short term fix for soil stabilization. Contractor is encouraged to address permanent stabilization of temp.mulched areas in a timely manner. Exposures that will be idle for more than a couple of weeks need to be temp.seeded. Contractor should pursue the final grading of areas not at grade and permanently stabilize in a timely manner. Also encourage contractor to address repair/supplemental seeding needs throughout project.Recommend that CEI/DOT inspectors prepare a list of repair/supplemental seeding needs. Maintenance issues have been addressed from"ICA"report and from weekly e.c.list.Contractor is reminded that e.c.measures need to be maintained in a timely manner as set forth by NPDES regulations to avoid future issues. NPDES was reviewed. These efforts look good.Continue with weekly NPDES reports and within 24 hrs.after a .5"rain,rainfall log and updated erosion control plans. Please note that Thad Valentine with Land Quality is to follow-up with a reinspection on 6/27/14.Thad indicated that he wanted to see progress especially with permanent stabilization of unfinished areas. David Wainwright with DWR has also indicated he plans to visit project in the near future. 6113114 2:01 Page 1 of 1
