Fred,
This, permit has NOT gone to notice and will not untilwe have a conversation with you I did not clearly communicate
that to staff and that is why Bethany had that language in her email. We will have to re -notice the permit at some point
because of the significant changes.
Bethany and Bradley were able to move forward faster than I had anticipated and develop specific draft,permits�for -both
the PE and, Duke pending facilities I think'that's,a good thing because we'll be able,to have our discussions in very
specific terms.
Again, I apologize for,the confusion.

Ri Matt. We; just got this email from Bethany. My understanding of the conversation you and
I had and the voice mail ,message you left a couple of weeks ago, was that we would receive a
letter explaining the SW changes with "a couple of example permits," After a review we would
meeting with you guys and Duke to discuss. This transmittal looks like an official draft for
review and comment. Did,'I misun'd'erstand something? No big deal; but I was thinking this
would play out differently.

We, have revised the draft stormwater permit for the Cape'Fear Plant (attached) A hard copy, along with the attached
cover letter explaining the changes, is being mailed out to Randy Cox. I have also included a revised fact sheet for your
reference.
Because of the significant changes, we are re -running the public notice for this draft,permit That notice should be
available on our°website mthe next few days,(please check. http://port6l.ncdenr.org/web/wq/ws/su/current-notices)
and will be published in the newspapers in the next week or so. This will allow another 30 -day comment period and
move the scheduled issuance date into May
If you would like to meet and discuss, please let us know. We would be happy to sit down with you all again -and go over
any questions that you might have.
