Hi Bev,
I have been thinking about the most appropriate analyses to assess the condition of the Recycle Pond at Powell
Industries for pond closure, or for turning it over to the Stormwater folks for inclusion in the site's stormwater
management / permitting program.
I was thinking that we would require analyzing the bottom sediments for the TCLP parameters, plus Copper,
enum,N+ekef 2trtE, and Tetai 9etrcriv Hydrocarbons. The pond water could be analyzed for Total Petroleum
Hydrocarbons and Volatile Organic Cs,,ompoundI am thinking that most substances that are, or have ever been, in the
water would also show up in the sediments. Since our Chemist position here has been abolished, we are somewhat
disadvantaged along the lines of determining the best parameters to analyze for. Is there anything else we should be
looking for? I welcome your thoughts on this. no(
