To Whom it May Concern:
We have noticed through conversations with Caitlin Caudle in the Winston Salem Regional
Office and Eric Saunders in the Central Office that a footnote that was included in previous
versions of our class A land application permit (WQ0041666) had been left off during one
of the recent modifications. We are formally asking that the footnote be added back.
The previous footnote applied to the Lear Corporation source and stated "Residuals are
generated during the biological treatment of industrial wastewater with an estimated 1%
domestic waste stream contribution, and meet the definition of "Biological Residuals" as
defined in 15A NCAC 02T .1102(6). However, it was demonstrated that the residuals are
pathogen free and are not required to monitor for Vector Attraction Reduction in
accordance with 15A NCAC 02T .1107(c) provided that no significant odor complaints or
problems with vector attraction are encountered at the land application site and Fecal
Coliform Concentrations remain less than 1,000 MPN per dry gram of residuals"
