Bethany,
There are no unmonitored stormwater outfalls at Old Fort. We removed an outfall that was culverted spring water only,
but that is located far away from Outfall 2.

Hi Bethany,
I don't know why Outfall 002 is shown as "ROS." Columbia Forest Products routinely monitors Outfall 002 and collects
representative samples from it during the semi-annual sampling events.

Julie,
I've entered the additional outfall (see below). I noticed that in the system outfall 002 is noted as having Representative
Outfall Status (ROS). However, I can't find documentation in the file, and the system does not have any information for
suspending monitoring on any of the other outfalls which 002 represents (which is also not clear). Do you have an
approval letter for that ROS designation that you can send me?

Hello Bethany,
Columbia Forest Products — Old Fort facility needs to add a new outfall, Outfall 9, to its list of stormwater outfalls.
Extreme rains last year led to flooding of the facility. To avoid damage to facility infrastructure, it was necessary to install
an outfall (Outfall 9) from the Fire Water Pond to the unnamed creek that empties into the Catawba River, as shown in
the attached drawing. The coordinates of Outfall 9 are: 35.659136,-82.109092
We are in the process of updating the stormwater pollution prevention plan for the facility and have incorporated
Outfall 9 into the routine stormwater inspection and sampling program, with the first sample collection anticipated
during the Second Half of 2022.
If you have questions, or require additional information, please reach out to me.
Thank you,
Julie

Outfall 6: 35.6595,-85.1094
Outfall 4: 35.6597,-82.1075
