On May 23, 2014, the'Division of Water Resources (Division) received an application, dated May 7,
2014, requesting a 401 Water, Quality Certification from the Division for the subject project. The
Division has determined that the application is incomplete and cannot be processed at this time.
On May 29, 2014, DWR sent you an email requesting this information as well. The application is
on -hold until the following items are addressed:
1. Please provide an overhead drawing or sketch of the proposed impacts that shows the
linear footage of shoreline proposed for stabilization.
2. Please describe the material to be used and method for stabilization.
3. Please send the information requested above within 30 calendar days of your receipt of

If all of the requested information is not received in writing within 30 calendar days of your
receipt of this letter, the Division will be unable to process the application and it will be
returned. The return of this project will necessitate reapplication to the Division for approval,
including a complete application package and the appropriate fee. Please be aware that there is
no authorization under the Section 401 of the Clean Water Act for this activity and any work done
within waters of the state may be a violation of North Carolina General Statutes and
Administrative Code.
