Subject: Bear Creek Lake Access - Duke Energy
Hi Everyone,
ClearWater submitted a permit application for a project called Bear Creek Lake Access. It should arrive in your office
tomorrow. The applicant is Duke Energy Lake Services. Duke owns the property proposed for improvements; however,
the GIS system for Jackson County lists the owner as the State Highway Commission. The Jackson County GIS system is
incorrect. Duke has tried to have this error corrected without success. I wanted to make you all aware of this situation
as we have had applications returned because the GIS parcel data does not match what is in the permit
application. Duke is aware of the GIS error and we wanted to bring it to your attention as well so that the application is
not returned because of this discrepancy. If any of you have questions regarding property ownership, please contact
Mr. Travis Sinclair at 704 - 382 -6920 or travis.sinclair @duke- energy.com. He is the Project Manager for Duke.
