A Civil Penalty Assessment (CPA) was issued to the City of Raleigh dated April 28, 2022 that assessed penalties for two
separate Sanitary Sewer Overflows (SSOs) that occurred in November 2021 (Incidents Numbers 20210157 & 20210158).
After conversations with the City and internal DWR discussions, it was determined that the penalty that was assessed for
Incident Number 202102158 should be rescinded. Therefore, DV-2022-0033 is hereby rescinded, and has been deleted
from DWR’s database. This letter serves as a formal notice that this CPA has been rescinded. A new CPA will be issued
that only assesses a penalty for Incident Number 20210157. We apologize for any inconvenience. If you have any
