On -April 4, 2014 Sara Knies with Division of Water Resources (E)VVIR-) conducted a stream
determination at 204 Gal -away 13rive, Chapel Hill, 11,TC (please see attached letter). Also present was
Eric Alsmeyer with the US Army Corps of Engineers (US-ACE), and Cory Darnell with ECS
Carolinas. The stream is an un-named tributary to Little Creek, Jordan Lake Watershed-
]DWIR, staff evaluated the feature and determined the feature to be intermittent. USACE evaluated
the feature and determined the feature to be jurisdictional, and therefore subject to 404 permitting.
On April 17, 2014 after further file review, EYVVR determined that this site was in the limits of
Chapel Hill's jurisdiction- Accordingly, The 'ro-,Am of Chapel Hill, delegated for the Jordan Lake
]Buffer Rules, will need to be the delegated authority to evaluate the applicability of Jordan Lake
Riparian Buffers at 204 Galway ]Drive, Chapel Hill-
By copy of this letter, 1:)Vv7R. is informing all involved parties that the Town of Chapel Hill will need
to be contacted for a stream origin/buffer applicability determination. Please contact Sara Knies at
(919) 791-4200 with any further questions.
