Please find the enclosed January Stormwater Discharge Outfall (SDO) #001 and #002 forms for
the Daimler Trucks NA, LLC - Mount Holly Truck Manufacturing Plant (TMP). The January
stormwater samples were not collected during this month. According to rainfall data collected
for the month, there was no qualifying rain event (as defined by General Permit No.
NCG030000). Shield continues to monitor in February for an adequate sample date.
As of the January sampling event, Daimler remained in Tier 3 at SDO #001 and SDO #002 for
Zinc and Copper. As of February 15lh, 2022 Daimler is in receipt of relief from monthly
monitoring based on past inspections including the January 2022 onsite inspection regarding
Copper and Zinc. Shield will continue to perform monthly sampling per Tier 2 requirements for
COD until instructed to decrease sampling frequency by Daimler. The subject facility will resume
quarterly analytical monitoring for the remainder of the current term, which expires on June 30th,
2026.

Dear Mr. Quarry:
There were no qualifying; rainfall events for the month of January 2022 as defined by General Permit No.
NCG030000. As a result, no monthly stonnwater samples were collected for Stormwater Discharge Outfalls
(SDO) 4001 and SDO 4002 at the Daimler Trucks - Mount Holly Facility during this month. According to
rainfall data' collected for the meth, four rairb's,ow n.nl; or ;roue events occurred on January 21,
January 9t°, January 17ih, and Jar.. r 28th, produ: in 2. -6 nr ies. 1.34 inches, 0.71 inches, and 0.06 inches
of rain, respectively. However. eac'i r` >c cventr took glace after nomral business hours, within 72 hours
of the rain event, or did not produce cgh raiaf' ll a collect a iample. Shield will continue to monitor
daily weather conditions and attcn+pi cc .,rdination of appropriate staff and resources to facilitate adequate
sample collection. A partially completed Discharge Monitoring Report form is attached to this cover letter
for signature of the appropriate authorized permitlec and submittal to the State.
As of January 31, 2022, Daimler remains in Tier 3 at SDO #001 and SDO #002 for Zinc and at SDO # 002
for Copper. The Facility remains in Tier 2 for C.O.D. Shield will continue to perform monthly sampling
per Tier 3 requirements until instructed to decrease sampling frequency by Daimler. Shield greatly
