The Facility remains in Tier 3 for Zinc and Copper at SDO #002. Shield will continue to perform monthly sampling per Tier requirements until instructed to decrease sampling frequency by Daimler. Action Plans were accepted on October 26, 2021 and DTNA continues to make efforts to completion of these line items. (Shield) successfully collected monthly stormwater samples for Stormwater Discharge Outfalls (SDO) #001 and #002 at the Mount Holly facility for the month of November 2021. During the November 4'h sampling event, Shield's field measurements of pH were 7.8 and 7.3, at SDO #001 and SDO #002, respectively. The analytical results of the stormwater samples collected during the qualifying storm event are attached to this cover letter. In addition, the Qualitative Monitoring Report (QMR) forms and the partially completed Discharge Monitoring Report (DMR) form are attached to this cover letter. The Qualitative Monitoring Reports note the presence of an intermittent sulfur -like odor at SDO ##001. Analytical results from the sampling event show an exceedance of C.O.D. and Zinc at SDO #001. The laboratory report notes that the TSS samples for both SDOs "were analyzed outside of analytical holding time for TSS due to laboratory error". Shield has contacted the laboratory and requested that your facility not be charged for these analyses. Daimler remains in Tier 3 for Zinc and enters Tier 2 for C.O.D. at SDO #001. The Facility remains in Tier 3 for Zinc and Copper at SDO # 002. Shield will continue to perform monthly sampling per Tier 3 requirements until instructed to decrease sampling frequency by Daimler. Shield greatly appreciates the opportunity to provide environmental services to Daimler Trucks, North America.
