Pump Around Exemption Request.docx
Sue-
We would like to request an exemption from the dewatering requirement of the GC standard language, for both our
Ring Creek and Fisher River - Hodges Reach Projects that have recently been submitted for permitting.
Please see attached request. Thanks, and please let me know if you need more information.

Kevin,
Our GC standard language requires that the channel be dewatered when working in the stream (see Condition #7 or
GC3885 found here: http: / /portal.ncdenr.org/ web /wq /swp /ws /401 /certsandpermits /RCS). Your application doesn't
indicate whether you intend to do that or if you would like to request an exemption to that condition. If you'd like to
request an exemption I need a request that includes a short justification and what measures you will be using to ensure
downstream water quality will be protected.
Thanks
