Construction details provided in this standard plan are NOT drawn to scale.
These details are for lots with less than one acre of land disturbance.
If the land disturbance on a single lot is greater than one acre, a custom plan should be submitted for the 30-day review
cycle that addresses bermstdiversions and sediment storage traps and basins.
This document is a guideline to control sediment onsite for townhome lots with a disturbed area of less than one acre.
Additional sediment control measures may be needed on a site -by -site basis.

TRAFFIC CONTROL AND PEDESTRIAN PLAN (TCPED) NOTES:
1. PRIOR TO ANY WORK THAT IMPACTS THE RIGHT-OF-WAY, CLOSING OR DETOURING OF
ANY STREET, LANE, OR SIDEWALK, THE CONTRACTOR MUST APPLY FOR A PERMIT WITH
RIGHT-OF-WAY SERVICES. PLEASE DIRECT ANY QUESTIONS TO
RlGHTOFWAYSERVICES o@RALEIGHNC.GOV.
2. THE CITY OF RALEIGH REQUIRES AN APPROVED RIGHT-OF-WAY PERMIT FOR WORK ON
ANY PUBLIC STREET OR SIDEWALKAND NCDOT ROAD WITHIN RALEIGH'S JURISDICTION.
3. A PERMIT REQUEST WITH A TCPED PLAN SHALL BE SUBMITTED TO RIGHT-OF-WAY
SERVICES THROUGH THE CITY OF RALEIGH PERMITAND DEVELOPMENT PORTAL.
4. PRIOR TO THE START OF WORK, THE CLIENT SHALL SCHEDULE A PRF-CONSTRUCTION
MEETING WITH THE ENGINEERING INSPECTIONS COORDINATOR TO REVIEW THE
SPECIFIC COMPONENTS OF THE APPROVED PLAN, AND ENSURE ALL PERMITS ARE
ISSUED.
5. ALL TCPED PLANS SHALL COMPLY WITH ALL LOCAL, STATE, AND FEDERAL
REQUIREMENTS AND STANDARDS, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
• MANUAL ON UNIFORM TRAFFIC CONTROL (MUTCD);
• PUBLIC RIGHTS -OF -WAY ACCESSIBILITY GUIDELINES (PROWAG);
• AMERICAN DISABILITY ACT (ADA) REQUIREMENTS;
• RALEIGH STREET DESIGN MANUAL (RSDM),
6. ALL PUBLIC SIDEWALKS MUST BE ACCESSIBLE TO PEDESTRIANS WHO ARE VISUALLY
IMPAIRED AND/OR PEOPLE WITH MOBILITY CONCERNS. EXISTING AND ALTERNATIVE
PEDESTRIAN ROUTES DURING CONSTRUCTION SHALL BE REQUIRED TO BE COMPLIANT
WITH THE PUBLIC RIGHTS OF WAY ACCESSIBILITY GUIDELINES (PROWAG), THE ADA
STANDARDS FOR ACCESSIBLE DESIGN AND THE MANUAL ON UNIFORM TRAFFIC
CONTROL DEVICES (MUTCD).
7. ALL PERMITS MUST BE AVAILABLE AND VISIBLE ON SITE DURING THE OPERATION,
DECEMBER, 27 2021
CONSTRUCTION SEQUENCE FOR TOWNHOME LOTS SEDIMENT AND EROSION CONTROL
1. Submit documentation required under this site NPDES stormwater permit for construction activity (NCG010000) to
Stormwater Inspections throughout the project.
2. Prior to beginning construction, call the Stormwater Inspection Eastern Regional Coordinator at (919) 278-6461.
3. Install all temporary erosion and sediment control measures, Limit clearing and land disturbing activity to only the
necessary area to install the permitted measures.
4. Call the Rapid Response number (919) 857-4412 to schedule a stormwater site inspection.
5. Upon approval of the stormwater site inspection, commence permitted land disturbing activity for townhouse
construction.
6. All erosion control measures shall be inspected and maintained, if needed, at least once per week and after every
rainfall event.
7. If mud is tracked or spilled into the street, it should be cleared up immediately and no later than the end of the work
shift by vacuum sweeping or hand tools to remove as much material as possible from the road surface,
8. Stabilization is required within 14 calendar days of completion or inactivity on the project site.
9. Site stabilization is required prior to final approval of land disturbance permit and issuance of Certificate of Occupancy.
Grass utilized as permanent ground cover must be at a moveable height that generally provides at least 60% coverage
throughout the site, with no large bare patches or evidence of erosion.

NOTES:
1. This sheet indicates the limits of disturbance for the shown lots. Standard erosion control measures including silt
_ fencing, construction entrance, and silt fence outlets shall be installed on each lot in accordance to the Standard Details
provided in Sheet 6 of this plan.
2. Inlet protection devices shall be installed on all curb inlets and drop inlets Immediately down gradient of disturbed lots.
3. Contractor shall be responsible for regular street sweeping cleanup for the duration of the construction.
4. Additional information on specification and installation guidelines can be obtained from the State Erosion and
