This interim report describes activities and findings associated with the Long Term Stream Flow
study (project #09-010) for the time frame from 4/1/2018 to 12/31/2018. Project status and key
preliminary results are summarized in this document. The status of each project task completed
is shown in the table below.

Quality Assurance Project Plan
A draft Long Term Stream Flow Quality Assurance Project Plan (QAPP) was submitted to the
Water Quality Unit (WQU) Manager on January 31, 2018. The QAPP was reviewed by the
Assistant WQU Manager and modified during the months of June through August, 2018. Final
approval of the QAPP was given in August of 2018.
Data Downloads and Corrections
Data downloads and corrections occurred on a monthly basis, except for in December of 2018,
due to staffing issues during the holidays. Some data was not recorded during the covered time
frame due to the following reasons.

EL5.5GC
9/26/2018 — 12/31/2018
Logger and well were washed away and never
found.
* Multiple in lab troubleshooting sessions could not remedy this.
Equipment Inspections
Equipment inspections on the two in stream loggers were performed in the field during data
downloads. An additional equipment QA check was also performed in July, by attaching each
logger to the laboratory computer, and checking it in HOBOWare to ensure it was redeployed
appropriately. Redeployment occurred on 7/24/2018.
Data QA Reviews
Full data QA reviews were not done quarterly as planned. During each data download from the
shuttle, and correction, the data was briefly checked for completeness. Thus, the malfunction of
the EL5.5GC logger was found, and an attempt to remedy the problem was made.
Level Logger Location Survey
This was not completed as planned during the report period.
Cross Section Measurement
A cross section measurement of Goose Creek and Crooked creek was performed on 7/11/2018.
This will serve as a benchmark for tracking any changes to stream bank morphology. The data
was plotted in Excel. The Goose Creek (EL5.5GC) cross section is in Figure 1. The Crooked
Creek (CC2.5CC) cross section is in Figure 2.
Manual Streamflow Measurement
Manual streamflow measurements were not performed during this period.
Data Analysis and Annual Report
More in depth data analysis and an annual report will be completed in the future.
