Inspection Summary:
Inspection was done in response to a notice of intent. The consultant stated the application was submitted because the site
has an open mining permit, but no stormwater permit.
It was discussed during the site visit that a stormwater permit will not be required. The mine does not have an outfall or any
other kind of point source discharge. Outfall coordinates were provided on the application, however,these coordinates show
where the mine previously dishcarged. The mine has sat innactive for a few years and at some point the area of discharge
was dammed. There is little product left in the mine. The owners are working to stockpile the remaining material, reclaim the
remainder of the mine and close the mining permit. All water in industrial areas of the mine drain internally. All berms were
heavily vegetated, so there is no sediment movement.
There is no discharge from the mine.
