To whom it may concern,
This letter is in response to the notification of violation NOV-2022-LV-0317, NOV-
2022-LM -0028, NOV-2022-LV-0318 for Hot Springs Housing Authority (NC0049620). With
regard to the missing Flow Data, the call was made to the ARO stating that there was no
opportunity for the flow to be monitored by Influent means as stated on the eDMR. We were
advised to add a column on the Effluent page reflecting the flow at the effluent discharge as it
was monitored. Apparently, this was not accepted through the eDMR influent report page, since
the influent page was not completed. We have completed the data on the influent page on the
eDMR and resubmitted with the flow data notating that the flow however was recorded at the
effluent discharge pipe. We apologize for any confusion this may have caused.
With regard to the TSS and Fecal values, the sand filter system has entered a state of
failure and is being cared for closely to allow for the best outcome possible. We are working
with McGill and Assoc. for a proper correction to this situation and quotes are being received to
remove and replace the sand. The facility has been pumped to remove as much grease as possible
from entering the bed. We will continue to work diligently as a team for the best possible
discharge.
Therefore, we respectfully request your consideration of any fines. Thank you for sending
the notification. We appreciate your attention to detail on these reports. If there is any additional
information you require, please let us know and we will be happy to comply.
Best regards,
Jeremy Trantham and Juanita James
