Connectivity Elevation
Mr. Bullard,
Below are the water surface elevations taken at the River Bridge and the Overflow Bridge on two
separate occasions:
5/9/21 RIVER = 2.83 OVERFLOW = 4.60
5/27/21 RIVER = 1.32 OVERFLOW = 4.52
After multiple conversation with NCDOT and regulatory agencies we propose any water surface
elevation taken at the Overflow Bridge 5.60 and below be deemed not "connected" to the Neuse
River. This will be monitored by placing a visual marker at the Overflow Bridge indicating this
elevation. Considering the above information and knowing this elevation is subjective, we would
request a review by the appropriate parties should the elevation rise above 5.60 and other
conditions (i.e., current/flow) indicate there is no "connectivity."
We greatly appreciate everyone's time and effort thus far in working towards a solution that is
transparent for everyone involved.
