I agree whole heartedly and thus the reason for putting the Major CAMA permit application together, no more
fragmenting the permit process. The intent obtaining the most recent GP was not to fragment or “phase” the project,
the purpose of getting a GP was to address a safety issue as this site is heavily used pretty much year around. I cover
this GP in the forthcoming Major CAMA/Dredge and Fill app. As for your database, I cannot explain that. DCM database
is gonna be a better source of past permits. If you would like to meet on the project give me some dates your available
and I will send out an invite to you, Greg and Garcy.

These type of projects should be discussed with all of us when you intend to phase projects.
The existing stabilization within the project area doesn’t show on my database. There are
cumulative effects and fragmenting of permit areas that need to be accounted for before
things move forward. Once again we all need to meet to discuss the project and utilize the
“single and complete” permitting process as much as possible.

Yes, it was to quickly address 9 different spots where erosion from boat wakes is eaten away the shoulder and was to
the gravel road. This work is to be done while the Major CAMA/Dredge and Fill permit is being processed. There is
concern that people using the gravel ramp would drop a truck or trailer tire off the edge of bank. I attached the permit
drawings that will be submitted with the Major app.

Attached is General Permit No. A78029 and the Buffer Authorization Certificate related to the shoreline
stabilization (approximately 250’) along SR 1122 (Hydeland Canal Rd.) in Swan Quarter, Hyde County.

Please review the permit, sign at the bottom left of the permit (both printed name and signature), sign the Buffer
Authorization Certificate and scan/return to me as soon as possible. The permit is valid once you sign and will
expire on October 13, 2021.

If any aspect of this request should change from what was initially described and what is shown on submitted
documents, please contact DCM before proceeding. Please consult with any other local, state or federal
agencies that may require a permit or authorization before project initiation.
