Dear Ms. Lewis,
Please find attached one (1) half size folded copy of the revised plan. Our response to the comment
received by email on October 15, 2014 follows:
1. I have one question about the proposed exemption — the plans are titled as TLZ Emu and
TI.Z Kite. However, the plans do not indicate where TLZ Emu is located or what is being
proposed there. Is that a new site being added to the previously exempted sites under the
existing permit number? If so, please indicate its location on the plans and include a
narrative description of the proposed activities there. If TLZ Emu is not part of this
project, then to avoid confusion, please remove it from the title block of the plans
TLZ EMU was part of the same construction contract as TLZ Kite. TLZ EMU is in Jones County
and was permitted through the Washington NCDENR office. TLZ EMU has been removed from
the title block on the attached plans.

Dear Ms. Nelson,
This letter is to request a modification to the existing Stormwater Management Permit
Regulations Exemption for Stormwater Project No. SW8 040213, Erosion Repairs — TLZ Kite,
TLZ Dodo, TLZ Hawk.
The modification is for the TLZ Kite site, located on Jarrett's Point at Sneads Ferry Road and
Jarrett Point Road on Marine Corps Base, Camp Lejeune, NC. This project shall restore the
entire landing zone area surrounding the air strip. Numerous low areas have been created from
Aircraft V-22 activity that are ponding water, eroding, and require fill. The proposed work shall
fill the low areas, grade for positive drainage and stabilize the surface with vegetation.
There is no increase in impervious area and no additional built -upon area. Post construction
drainage will be restored to existing conditions. A swale has been added on the perimeter of the
site to aid drainage. The total area disturbed by construction is 8.8 acres.
