Since it looks like this project hasn't been reviewed/issued based on the email at the bottom saying the fee was paid today, you can use the Supplemental Information Form to submit any updates/additional files! Link here: https://edocs.deq.nc.gov/Forms/Supplemental-Information-Form IMPORTANT: Make sure you choose "More Information Response" not "Modification". If you choose Modification, it creates a new Version for DWR and will charge a fee again. Please include the DWR ID from below (20210885). Colleen - I apologize for the barrage of emails this afternoon, but we have another project that we are working on that we recently submitted a permit application for (see subject line). This permit application is for a NWP 58 and corresponding Section 401 Certification. The original application was to cover work associated with directionally -boring a sewer line under Lake Michael (the stream with that classification name and not the lake itself). The bore was to start and end outside of the riparian buffer and go under the stream; however, the presence of bedrock was going to result in the line casement breaching the streambed in a small area. Therefore, a temporary dewatering plan was developed for installation and the client was planning to install sills to promote re -accumulation of native substrate over the casement to restore the stream bed. Unfortunately, we were informed by the client after the application and fee were submitted that there was more bedrock than anticipated and the directional bore would no longer be feasible. Therefore, they are opting to temporarily open trench the stream bed to install the sewer line. This will require a larger dewatering area than what was included in the application and also result in more temporary impacts to the stream. The casement will still also be exposed in a small area after installation, so sills would still be proposed to allow for substrate accumulation after the line is covered. There will also be some minor buffer impacts, so we would coordinate with the County and/or Mebane to receive authorization for those impacts. I wanted to check with you and April about the best approach for revising the application. We are currently working with the client to get new drawings for the revised impacts and can update the PCN to show the revised impacts. Would it be possible for us to send that information directly to you for review or should we re -submit an electronic PCN with the new information and reference this project no.? If you could email me back when you have an opportunity it would be much appreciated.
