2. Laboratory:

G. Laboratory analytical balance checked/calibrated by Mettler/Toledo Company, on
August 31, 1996.
H. All logs, calibrations and records were being adequately maintained.
3 A grab sample of the effluent revealed a settleable solids level of a trace/ltr with few
suspended solids and a great deal of dissolved solid dye waste.
4. DMR and laboratory_ data agreed (August .1996 - spot check).
5. The effluent flow meter was checked/calibrated in August 1996, by an `in-house" technician.
6. The plant sludge is dewatered to about 15% on a belt -press and
land permitted near Red Springs.

7. According to the DMR reports reviewed for the period November 1995 through September
1996, the plant's effluent was in compliance with the NPDES permit's limits except for
exceedences for BOD, suspended solids, pH and incorrect or non -reporting. "NOV's" were
issued for all exceedences.
