You are probably aware that a number of the conservation practices are now considered exempt under an MOU signed by USACE /MRCS /EPA on 25 March 2014 (see attached). However, none of the practices you listed are exempt. So, we will continue processing the permit. I just wanted to check, prior to starting work on the application. Please give me a call if you have any questions. I will try to look it over to determine if it is complete within the next week or so. Yes, the project is using the following MRCS Practice Standards: 548 - Channel Bed Stabilization 580 - Streambank and Shoreline Protection 342 - Critical Area Planting Yes, the plans have been reviewed and approved by the MRCS folks in Surry County (Rick Bailey - District Conservationist, and Greg Goings - NRCS Technician), as well as Jake Stokes (MRCS Engineer in the Waynesville office). It has been primarily Jake's responsibility to review for compliance with NRCS standards, and he has approved the plans that you received. I've listed contact information below in case you need to contact any of these gentlemen.
