Harnett County would like to take this opportunity to describe our commitment to
stormwater management resulting from new development in support of the referenced
permit application.
As you may be aware Harnett County was designated as part of the Phase II stormwater
management permitting program effective July 15', 2007. In addition to the stipulations
set forth in project specific DWQ regulatory approvals for stormwater management of
future development (some of which may be partially encouraged by the availability of the
referenced sewer improvement) will require permanent on site post construction
measures intended to diffuse and allay the effects from concentrated runoff from all new
development that may be provided sewer service by this project. These may include
level spreaders, scour holes, bioretention measures, and constructed wetlands.
