Proposed Activity Provide a detailed description of the proposed activity including its purpose and include the type of equipment to be used: * We are looking to add a 802 sqft addition to the existing structure. The existing attached 50 sqft storage will be removed and the 212 sqft deck will be removed as well. The unattached 100 sqft shed will be removed as well. We are also proposing the removal of the 458 sqft driveway and replace it with permeable pavers. This will be the removal of 818 sqft of impervious surface. The addition is to expand the living space of our home to meet our families needs. We are in need of an additional bedroom and living space. The new addition will add storage space to our house as well as it currently lacks sufficient storage due to designs from when the house was built in the 70's. The addition will be built on a foundation with a crawl space. A small backhoe will be used to dig the footers. The rest of the building will be done manually. We will take every effort to limit runoff from the project by funneling the water flow to the lower area of the yard where it can settle and leach into the ground. Avoidance and Minimization ........................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................... la. Specifically describe measures taken to avoid or minimize the proposed impacts in designing the project. We are looking to add a 802 sqft addition to the existing structure. We will take every effort to limit runoff from the project by funneling the water flow to the lower area of the yard where it can settle and leach into the ground (diffuse flow). We will use all best practices with regards to runoff and drainage from the project. We take great care to not disturb the surrounding landscape. 1b. Specifically describe measures taken to avoid or minimize the proposed impacts through construction techniques. We will us manual building techniques and avoid the use of heavy machinery as to avoid disturbing the surrounding soil. Runoff prevention will be used to slow the flow of runoff and retain it so that it can seep into the ground (diffuse flow). Like listed in other areas of this document, we are planning to remove and an all impervious surface that we can as to mitigate the impact of this project so that no additional impervious surface is added to the property due to this addition.
