Description of industrial process (for industries only) and applicable CFR Part and Subpart: 40 CFR 414.91 4. Type of treatment (): The existing wastewater treatment process flows as follows: Process water enters a lift station and is pumped to a 1 million gallon spill basin. Wastewater then passes through an oil skimmer and into a four (4) million gallon equalization basin. After ph adjustment the process waste stream enters a 0.4 MG aeration basin and a 1MG aeration basin operated in parallel. Following this is a 50 diameter clarifier, a 90 foot clarifier, filters (SBR), chlorine contact chamber, aerobic sludge digester, sludge storage basin, and sludge drying beds.Contributions to this treatment unit comes from FII & ICI which both produce polyester resins and fibers, and Monsanto which manufactures an agricultural herbicide (ROUNDUP). 5. Sludge handling and disposal scheme: Permitted land Application Facility (Permit No. WQ0001959) 6.
