Attached please find the signed Catawba Riparian Buffer form you requested. Second, as it relates to the rip rap, yes I agree that we only need it 2' above full pond. If my diagram inaccurately depicted this, I apologize but yes, we are planning on only using rip rap to 2' above full pond. As it relates to removing trees, we are trying to keep as many trees as possible. The ones I marked for removal were because either the root systems were undermined with erosion or they posed a danger of falling onto the existing dock (two of those trees are severely leaning into the lake right above the dock). Our goal is to have the shoreline look very natural with as many trees as we can save. I hope this answers your questions. If you should need any further information or have any additional questions, please do not hesitate to contact me. Thank you for your time! I've attached it in two formats. Just use whichever one works best for you. Similarly, we typically only approve 2'-3' above full pond. I don't see the need for an additional 2' above full pond. Keep in mind, any tree that is 3" or greater in diameter at breast height that is not along the immediate shoreline and/or severely undermined needs to stay in the buffer. If you could get back to me on these things, I can keep working on the application.
