Evonik Corporation located at 2401 Doyle Street, Greensboro, Guilford County, North Carolina in accordance with National
Pollution Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permit number NCS000010 is submitting a copy of our March 2022 Discharge
Monitoring Report (DMR).
This DMR represents a semi-annual monitoring event for the pollutants as required by the storm water permit. The March 2022
analyses indicate that Biological Oxygen Demand (BOD) was reported below the benchmark monitoring value (BMV) at Outfall 2
(the BMV for BOD was exceeded for the September 2021 monitoring event). The BOD levels were reported below the BMV for
Outfalls 2, 3 and 4. In addition, the results for all other characteristic analyses were below the assigned BMV's for each of the
four Outfalls, except for total suspended solids (TSS).
The BMV for TSS was exceeded at Outfall 1. This is the first exceedance of TSS at Outfall 1. The TSS levels were reported below
the BMV for Outfalls 2, 3 and 4.
Evonik will address the TSS benchmark exceedance by instituting Tier One management for Outfall 1. If you have any questions
or concerns, please feel free to contact me at (336) 362-6924, or our environmental consultant, Tony Rossano of Antea Group at
(704) 317-7084.
Sincerely,
X"
