Section D: Summary of Findings/Comments:
1. According to the DMR reports reviewed from May 1999 through April 2000, the plant's
effluent was in compliance with the NPDES permit's limits except for one (1) BOD
violation.
2. During the months of May through August 1999 and April 2000, no discharge occurred.
3. At the time of this inspection, no influent or effluent flow occurred from the package plant
or lagoon.
4. This inspection noted that one (1) of two (2) air blower motors was out of operation. Mr.
Stephen Jones indicated that the motor was on order and should be in within a few days.
5. The flow measuring device needs to be calibrated. Mr. Jones indicated that he would address
the calibration issue with the installation company by the beginning of the week of June 19,
2000.
6. During the inspection meeting, Mr. Jones gave an update about the proposed nondischarge
permit status, which would replace the present NPDES permit for all wastewater needs. He
indicated that the application would be submitted to DWQ within next couple of days. Also,
it is understood that he will be submitting As -Built plans/specification with an application
and check for a previously constructed sewer system, which is presently under an
enforcement action.
