Attached to this email are a few pictures that show the trees that need to be removed. I have wrapped the ones within the first 20 ft from the shore in green tape. Except for the one on the shoreline I could not get to it on foot safely. There are five trees within the first 20 ft. There are three trees that may need to be removed about 30 ft away from the shoreline due to the fact that I will most likely destroy the root systems tying back the sea wall and blending the grade. Those three trees I will Mark in the picture. The boat slip will be excavated 3 ft deep. Some parts of the shoreline are a lot higher than others, it is very inconsistent. The plan is to regrade to even all of this out to make it safely accessible. I plan to build the seawall 2 ft above normal pool. The shoreline can be left a little more natural where the rip rap is going to go. These projects are never in exact science due to the fact that we do not know what we will run into until we get started, mostly hitting rock seems to be the number one issue we deal with. I have been doing these projects since 2008 and anytime I have ever Disturbed a root system on these larger trees and try to leave them they always die and become a potential hazard, some have even fell on the seawall and boat House. Me personally I do not like to remove trees that aren't necessary to be removed but I do not want to create a potential hazard for the future. We have no issue replanting trees if that is necessary, I'm sure this is something the homeowner has already planned after the completion of this project. The boat slip will be dug approximately 12 ft wide and 16 ft inland, 3 ft below normal pool. At its highest points the shores seems to be around 4 ft above the water level and at its lowest points one foot above water level, as I said before this natural shoreline is very inconsistent. Please see attached pictures for clarity on the removal of these trees. I do not normally include small saplings and brush on the plans but you can see the smaller stuff from the pictures. Please let me know if this explains things or you need me to explain further. Thanks! PS the pink flags on the ground represent the 20 ft line from the shore. Red lines represent approximate side property lines. Please provide additional information on the trees that you are requesting to remove. Based on the photos, it appears that there are more than 8 trees in the buffer, and it is unclear from the drawings if you are proposing to leave 8 trees or are showing the 8 you would like to remove. Based on the diagram, several appear to be in Zone 2 of the buffer and it is unclear why you are wanting to remove them. Please provide additional information on why these trees must be removed. 2. Please provide more information on the proposed clearing in the buffer. 3. Based on the side view diagram, it appears that grading is proposed. Is grading within 30 feet of the top of bank planned? 4. Is excavation planned for the boat house? How much?
