As a result of this determination, I am requesting that our stormwater pond along with outfalls 8 and 9 be designated as our representative outfalls for stormwater discharge. I have updated our SWPPP as directed in the technical assistance letter to reflect the addition of our stormwater pond as a sample point until final approval is given to classify the stormwater pond and outfalls 8 and 9 as our representative stormwater outfalls. In addition, we are also evaluating the condition of catch basins and stormwater conveyance piping to determine the need for replacement and or maintenance as mentioned in the DEQ technical assistance letter. Lastly, continued efforts are underway to remove or cover metal components stored outside that may contribute to elevated copper and zinc levels in our stormwater runoff. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at 828-582-2702. Sincerely, Chris Graybeal Environmental Engineer CommScope Office phone: 828-241-3142 Chris.Graybeal@commscope.com
