Quarterly report as required by the SOC section 2 (b) 8. This quarter we had a few operational concerns.
Our belt filter press was down for the entire month of march due to a bearing failure. This made it
impossible to get rid of sludge out of the system that was already stressed. AMCI replaced the broken
bearings but there were a few weeks lead time in getting the bearings on site and getting the project on
the calendar. There also were several electrical issues with the belt filter press during this time. Acorn
electrical has been tasked with replacing the existing electric feed panel for the press. The panel is
currently in the build process and is scheduled for install as soon as the panel is finished. This should fix
most of the electrical problems with the press.
The first phase of the digester rehab was completed in mid -May, and we are currently filling the
digester taking some stress off the plant. This has increased the plants sludge holding capacity. The next
phase of the rehab when budget allows is to add aeration to the digester.
We have had several parts of the plant soil tested for compaction and ground stability for the new
plant upgrades.
