The existing structure is a 31 feet and 2 inch long, single span prestressed channel structure. The proposed structure will be a single span (1@70’) 24-inch cored slab bridge with an out-to-out deck width of 33 feet. The existing structure has deck drains. The proposed bridge will maintain the existing level of service. There is one proposed outfall at the begin bridge left side. This drainage network will catch the water flowing from the bridge on both sides of the road and outlet it to the wetland on the left side of the road. The proposed bridge has 3:1 side slope on the left begin and end bridge, 2:1 side slope on the right begin bridge and 3:1 side slope on the right end bridge. Rip Rap outlet pads will be utilized to dissipate the flow and minimize erosion. There are two proposed ditches. A 55' detour bridge with 18' clear roadway with single 11' lane will be constructed downstream of the proposed bridge.The detour bridge is designed for the 10 year storm with one proposed temporary outfall at the begin bridge right side. The detour bridge has 3:1 side slope on the left begin and end bridge, 2.3:1 side slope on the right begin bridge and 3:1 side slope on the right end bridge.
