To whom it may concern,
This letter is in response to the notification of violation for ammonia exceeding the
monthly average in February for Days Inn West WWTP, tracking number NOV-2022-LV-0241.
A blockage occurred on several separate occasions causing the normal operations of the sludge
return to be interrupted. This may have caused an increase in the ammonia nitrogen. The
operator increased the pH (alkalinity) of the system and increased air to overcome this
effectively.
The blockage was corrected each time and the plant was pumped. This has fixed the
problems very effectively. Therefore, we respectfully request your consideration of any fines.
