Re: Monroe NDPES NC 0024333
Dear Mr. Helms:
It is hereby requested that effluent limitations at the
Monroe Wastewater Treatment Plant be reviewed. The limits
are very strigent, particularly NH3 as N. Pretreatment
requirements for industrial discharge to meet NH as N
of 16 mg/1 will be extremely expensive. These li3mits have
been determined by our engineers as necessary for the plant
effluent to not exceed 2 mg/l.
We are presently reviewing our plant operation to determine
the extent to which we could raise industrial discharge
limits without causing potential violation of the NPDES.
Please advise.
Sincerely,
ity Manager
